Miku Hatsune VN02 Mix
halfey | January 28, 2010Imagine a fully-grown more mature version of Miku Hatsune or take a KOS-MOS, turn anything blueish on her into luminous green, alter her battle costume a bit but retain the white color, and give her a twin ponytail, remove the Hilbert-effect device off her helmet and there you have Miku Hatsune VN02 Mix. And I absolutely not offended by the selection of color used for this figurine. For me it really gives more ‘life’ to Miku, and makes her more beautiful too (and turns me on LOL).

This is actually the result of the collaboration between the popular illustrator Nagimiso and Max Factory. This version of Miku Hatsune was first revealed as an unlockable feature of the singing game Project DiVA on SONY PSP, though the figurine looks a bit different and much better than in the game (to my eyes, at least).

The designer did a good job placing Miku in such a pose as if she is soaring through the air, flying. Yes, this is indeed a cybernetic version of Miku Hatsune, which makes her the green version of KOS-MOS. She is ready to steal a fan’s heart (and probable robs their pocket/wallet too) but she is drop-dead beautiful nonetheless!

This is definitely an all new perspective of Miku. With that ultra awesome body proportion this is something that any Miku fans can’t easily resist. Despite the luminous green color used in this version, nobody can make a mistake this is indeed Miku with the sweet lovely greenish theme.

The picture above is one of the ‘suggestive’ view (and damn her shoes blocked the sight on her panties!). From this angle it clearly shows a pair of what I think her deadly set of weapons, perhaps similar to those found on KOS-MOS. Heh! This is the third time I mentioned KOS-MOS in this post. It can’t be helped as this version of Miku really reminds me of KOS-MOS regardless how I look at her.

A nicely made shot of her sexy butt. I really wanna touch it so bad and feel the curvature myself. They look so pristine and pleasant even just to look at. Although this figurine is only at 1/8 scale, every aspect of Miku’s body was being taken care perfectly. If I managed to get this anyways, it surely will be something worth to harbor my love for, other than my girlfriend LOL.

A close-up shot of her lovely face as well as her lovely luminous green eyes. Again, her eyes really look like KOS-MOS’ (and some Final Fantasy freak would say her eyes look like Lightning’s of FFXIII). This shot however shows how ‘well-endowed’ Miku is, and strangely it really gives me a feeling as if she is staring at me affectionately, flying towards me, ready to hug me tightly.

Finally, I have to admit it that… I mean just look at her; she looks gorgeous and marvelous from any angle I could imagine. Like in the above shot, every single detail of her is well defined, and just looking at it enough to give me a feeling that I’m going to dream of the living version of her tonight and sharing affectionate moment together until I wake up in the morning.

While many people are whining that “this doesn’t look like Miku at all!” I can just say this kind of comment is stupid. This is clearly a different version of Miku so it has to look different. Besides, when buying anime figures (or almost anything in general), the only criteria one should follow is:
- that it looks good
- they like/love how it looks
- that they can afford to buy it
Other than that, all those other excuses – “It doesn’t look like her”, “I’m not a fan of the anime/anime character”, “I haven’t seen the anime, so I’m not buying it” – are INCREDIBLY LAME!!! I know everybody has their own reasons for buying these figures, but life’s too short to be such a stickler for details. I mean there’s no use to fuss over the accuracy and why can’t we just “Get along” with it and accept and enjoy it instead of giving whiney comments and stuff? Besides there’s always another option for those who want Miku to “look like Miku” so voicing out opposite ideals on this one is something so uncalled for (or in other words, “not welcomed”). Well, if it has to “look like Miku” anyways then wouldn’t that make the “different version of Miku” become pointless, right?
